Christmas
Tree…
Stripped of leaves – bare of branches
The Gift lay not under – but on that tree
The star
a cruel
crown
And
One
Light
hung
down
Red stripes dried
On that tree – the Gift died…
The First Gift given – for us, He Is Risen
