Review of COVID-19, From Start to Here

It feels longer than just over two-months, doesn’t it?
Back then the main topic was wondering if Nancy Pelosi got paper cuts from ripping the State of the Union to pieces…that was 2.4.20.
A brief timeline went something like this:
1.30.20:
CDC confirmed first US case of COVID-19
World Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus outbreak a Global Public Health Emergency.
The next day, 1.31.20:
US declared Coronavirus a Public Health Emergency
President Trump issued 14 days quarantine for US citizens entering from China
Entry denied to foreigners who had traveled to China within two weeks.
The very same day ‘Health experts’ warned quarantine and travel bans unnecessary; only promoted by conspiracy theorists and white nationalists.
2.3.20: The World Health Organization (WHO) Chief stated proactive measures, travel bans, not necessary to beat “China virus.”
We don’t have time to mention the others that echoed the same mockery of the President’s proactive measures. Let’s move on. What’s done is done, we’ll just pray, Father forgive them, for they know not, what they've done.

…Fast forward to the recent Coronavirus briefing, I've just summarized it for you:
Vice President Pence stated: “The American people will be encouraged to know that as we stand here today, 24% of the counties of this country have no reported coronavirus cases. In fact, half of the states in America have less than 2,500 cases per state. This is a great tribute to the efforts by the people of those communities.”
President Trump advised that $300 billion in loans to more than one million small businesses through the Paycheck Protection Program have been processed.
I can’t even image $300 Billion…that’s a LOT of money. Money given to small businesses so they can make payroll, stay in business. It’s like our rich uncle Sam, is paying us for a change…to take vacation.
President Trump explained that this action has saved millions of American jobs. That’s awesome, but then he shared that more money is needed. The bills keep coming and so he’s asked for more money to replenish the supply and continue to meet our small business payrolls.
Alas, the democrats in Congress have stopped it. Listen congress, this is not about you. There’s no time to shop around filling the cart with your toys and candy. These small businesses and their millions of employees are the heartbeat of America—and your selfishness is giving them a heart attack.
The President said, he thinks, he hopes, the democrats will agree to release the money soon. I pray they do so we can resuscitate our heartbeat again.
He was also able to secure over $6 billion for America’s most vulnerable including those needing child care assistance.
More than 3.5 million Coronavirus tests have been completed. They’re ramping up to a million tests per week.
48 different tests have been authorized.
Within an eleven-day period, GM transformed a manufacturing facility, and trained a workforce to build lifesaving ventilators in Kokomo, Indiana.
Hundreds of millions of personal protective equipment (PPE) has been and continues to be shipped around the country.
o   38.2 million N95 respirators
o   32.6 million surgical masks
o   5.5 million face shields
o   4.7 million surgical gowns
o   30.3 million gloves
o   212,000 coveralls
o   8,600 medical station beds

Every single person in America who has needed a ventilator, has been able to get one. Ventilators provided or being shipped from National Stockpile and Department of Defense:
o   More than 10,800 nationwide
o   4,400 to New York
o   1,558 to New Jersey
o   700 to Michigan
o   600 to Illinois
o   470 to Maryland
o   400 to Louisiana

FEMA launched Project Air Bridge to expedite imports of PPEs. More than 40 flights have taken place as of April 14

28 million tablets of Hydroxychloroquine have been shipped across the country from the Strategic National Stockpile.

All this and we didn’t even mention that in a matter of days hospitals were built and ships were sent.
Whew.
Remember this all started only about two and a half months ago. Hundreds of millions of pieces of equipment created and sent. Hundreds of billions of dollars sent and spent.
Note: This wasn’t because government is so grand. Government cannot do this. Government is klunky, slow, selfish. This was done by the grace of God and you and me and good ol’ American, we the people. With a lifetime of preparation for such a time as this, President Trump engaged the private sector to become allies in this war, and with no holds barred he deployed the full power of the Federal Government.
Thank God, He placed in office a rough around the edges, tell it like it is, roll up your sleeves and get the job done business man, instead of some silver-tongued smooth-talking politician.
Of all of the above, the most powerful action, in my estimation, was a National Day of Prayer Proclamation when President Trump looked up to where his help comes from:
“I ask you to join me in a day of prayer for all people who have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic and to pray for God’s healing hand to be placed on the people of our Nation.” Donald J Trump, President of the United States of America.
And some spew the idea that the President hasn’t done anything.
