New York: 777 deaths on Maundy Thursday, what are the odds?
According to the American publication, the
Orthodox Study Bible, 777 represents the threefold perfection of the Trinity.
To fall on the very day set aside to remember our
Lord and his death
Maundy Thursday is the Thursday before Easter commemorative
of the Last Supper in which Jesus broke the bread and said, this is My body,
which is broken for you. He took the cup and said, this is My blood, shed for you.
Do this in remembrance of Me.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
