Pray for
those in authority, that we may lead quiet and peaceable lives in all godliness
and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior
(1 Timothy 2:2-3)
He makes
nations great, and destroys them;
He enlarges nations, and disperses them. (Job
12:23-25)
The Lord's been waking me earlier than usual lately. Instead
of three or four, it's been around one or two.
This morning I woke with a question.
How long did Jesus ministry last?
Three years.
Then He showed me this:
It was exactly three years, to-the-day from
Inauguration Day, 1.20.17 to first confirmed case of “the invisible enemy”
COVID-19?
Excerpt from Inaugural Address:
Today’s ceremony, however, has very special meaning. Because
today we are not merely transferring power from one Administration to another,
or from one party to another – but we are transferring power from Washington,
D.C. and giving it back to you, the American People.
For too long, a small group in our nation’s Capital has
reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost.
Washington flourished – but the people did not share in its
wealth.
Politicians prospered – but the jobs left, and the factories
closed.
The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of
our country.
Their victories have not been your victories; their triumphs
have not been your triumphs; and while they celebrated in our nation’s Capital,
there was little to celebrate for struggling families all across our land.
That all changes – starting right here, and right now,
because this moment is your moment: it belongs to you.
It belongs to everyone gathered here today and everyone
watching all across America.
This is your day. This is your celebration.
And this, the United States of America, is your country.
What truly matters is not which party controls our
government, but whether our government is controlled by the people.
January 20th 2017, will be remembered as the day the people
became the rulers of this nation again.
The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten
no longer.
...
The king’s heart is like a stream of water
directed by the Lord;
He guides it wherever He pleases. Proverbs 21:1
God was up to something in America.
Media called it: The Unprecedented 2016 Presidential Election.
Thus, began President Trump, Vice President Pence, ministry to
America.
For love of God and country, they served the people.
True to his word, he handed the reigns of the nation back to
the people.
History reveals the nation prospered as never before…for three
years.
Then, it all came undone.
It was three years to-the-day from inauguration 1.20.17 to confirmation
of first case of coronavirus 1.21.20. I never knew, did you?
My heart broke this morning when I landed here:
Jesus Laments over Jerusalem
“Oh
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones God’s
messengers! How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen
protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let Me. And now, look,
your house is abandoned. And you will never see Me again until you say,
‘Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!’” Luke 13:34-35
Oh America, America look at you
Why have you rejected those I’ve sent?
I blessed you beyond any nation since creation; yet you refuse My
embrace.
Now look, your house is not Mine, but empty, abandoned, left to
your own demise.
I no longer know you.
Jesus Weeps over Jerusalem
But as He came closer to Jerusalem and saw the
city ahead, He began to weep. “How I wish today that you of all people would
understand the way to peace. But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from
your eyes. Before long your enemies will build ramparts against your walls and
encircle you and close in on you from every side. They will crush you into the ground, and your
children with you. Your enemies will not leave a single stone in place, because
you did not recognize it when God visited you.” Luke 19: 41-44
Oh America,
How could you not receive the
peace I offered?
The earth paused for your repentance; but you would not.
Commerce ceased; yet innocent blood continued to cry out to Me.
You no longer see, or hear; your peace has passed you by.
Jesus Clears the Temple
Then Jesus entered the Temple and began to drive
out the people selling animals for sacrifices. He said to them, “The Scriptures declare, ‘My
Temple will be a house of prayer,’ but you have turned it into a den of
thieves.”
After that, he taught daily in the Temple, but the
leading priests, the teachers of religious law, and the other leaders of the
people began planning how to kill him. But they could think of nothing, because
all the people hung on every word he said. Luke 19:44-48
America, America
What have we done?
We were offered a chance to restore our temple, clean our
house, drain the swamp…rebuild our nation.
But instead of accepting the offer to change, we clung tight to our tradition.
Our party. Our religion.
We strained a gnat and swallowed a camel; by nitpicking a tweet.
We’re destroyed for lack of knowledge. Rather than taking heed
to what we hear, we seduced our itching ears.
We’ve allowed the lead of Jezebel, who only lusts to kill.
Folks, I'm concerned for our
country.
Just over three years ago,
there was a changing of the guard and the nation was handed back to We The People.
However, it appears we may have
followed the path of Adam and allowed a serpent to stay in the
garden.
How long can such hatred be
spewed before we pass the point of no return?
Have we already gone too far?
I just pray, I'm totally wrong.
For judgment is without mercy to the one who has
shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. James 2:13
