God Has a Plan, Genesis 11:10-12:3

God has a plan, even now, especially now.

He’s sharing it with whoever will listen.

We’re walking through Genesis in Church, but the world is walking ever nearer to the threshold of Revelation.

Yet, we’re in sync because the Bible is timeless and therefore, always timely.

If we walk with God, as we draw near to the fulfillment of Revelation, the more revelation we’ll see.

Daniel the prophet (2,500+ yrs. ago) was told to seal the book until the time of the end, when people go to and fro and knowledge shall increase. The wicked will do wickedly and not have a clue (not understand), but the wise will understand. Daniel 12:4, 10.

The closer we get to the finish line, the clearer it becomes. Things once far off, come into focus.

However, those not walking with God will become disillusioned, deceived and delusional. 2 Thessalonians 2:11.

Now, as we walk with God, His handiwork is visible, He leaves a trail upon which we can and should create memorials. Build legacies.

That is how generational blessings are established. Or, conversely, generational curses.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6.

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105.

When we look back at our path, what do we see?

A trail of tears, chaos, confusion, destruction, or undeniable proof of the blessing and love of God?

His promises, His Word, works individually, personally, and corporately.

He longs to speak to all who seek.

Okay, so let’s see if God’s been speaking to us, corporately, as a family.

Let’s look over our shoulder at the path we’ve traveled as a family over the past few weeks to see how God’s Word is ever relevant and timely.

God’s Word is timeless, thus, always timely.

About the time we finished floating through Noah’s flood, Genesis 6-9; Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, flooded southern Israel with blood on 10.7.23.

Their wickedness was beyond measure; every thought and intent of their heart was only evil—just as it was in the days of Noah.

God was so grieved that He wiped man and beast off the face of the earth. Genesis 6:5-7.

Just as Israel is doing to hamas.

God warned Noah, and family, before judgment fell.

Israel dropped millions of flyers, calls and contacts to warn Gaza before judgment fell.

Now it’s falling.

You think it’ll last 40 days and 40 nights?

The following Sunday we addressed the violent hamas attack. I repeat myself, because hamas means violence.

In the Bible the first two times the Hebrew word, hamas, is used, is to tell of the violence, that triggered Noah’s flood. Genesis 6:11,13. (hamas, violence, flood. Wow, talk about relevant and timely).

Now, check this out: The day before our Sunday service detailing the Al-Aqsa Flood, there was a “Ring of Fire'' solar eclipse (10.14.23). Did you know they say a solar eclipse is a sign; the sun representing all the nations, and the moon symbolic of Israel.

All eyes are on Israel. Israel has eclipsed all other nations of the world.

“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Luke 21:25-26.

We’ve come to find out that the attack was a premature lunge from the bloodthirsty hamas horde.

You see, the devil had a counterfeit plan.

HIStory reveals that when God is about to do something great, the devil tries to prevent it with a preemptive strike.

God was about to raise up a deliverer, Moses, to lead Israel out of bondage. Pharaoh ordered the slaughter of all Israeli male babies.

When God was about to raise up, The Deliverer, Jesus, Herod ordered the slaughter of all Israeli male babies, two years old and under.

When God was about to raise up and restore Israel as a nation, Hitler ordered the extermination of all the Jews.

GOD IS UP TO SOMETHING. IT’S HAPPENING AGAIN. ARE YOU LISTENING?

What was the diabolical plan before the premature lunge from the hordes of hamas?

Iranian ayatollah (leader of Shiite Muslims), islamic revolutionary guard, hezbollah, hamas, houthis; terrorist organizations, devised a plan.

On a specific day, the day of judgment, Operation Al-Aqsa Flood was supposed to flood from all four corners of Israel, not just from the little southwest sector of Gaza.

They were to form a ring of fire, by way of rockets from every direction, overwhelming the Iron Dome Defense System.

Then, the ground attack would begin, like the one witnessed October 7th, only with multiplied thousands more hate filled demonic zombies from every direction flooding into Israel.

Had the invaders succeeded, without God’s intervention, today in Israel, every Jew would be dead, or wish they were.

But we know, according to God's Word, that will never happen.

About 4,000 years ago (2,000 years before Christ) God gave Abram the land of Israel, before it was named Israel. Genesis 12:1-3.

He changed Abram’s name to Abraham, who begat Isaac; who begat Jacob.

Jacob had twelve sons. God changed Jacob’s name to Israel. Thus, the nation of Israel was born.

Around 1,400 BC Joshua and crew conquered the Promise Land (Israel).

About 1,000 BC David and then Solomon established the Kingdom of Israel.

It wasn’t until 135 AD (over 100 years after Christ) that Roman Emperor Hadrian changed the name of Israel to Philistine. This was done to mock the Jews since the philistines were Israel’s enemies.

By the way, Palestine comes from the word Philistine, which means, invader.

The Philistines, (Palestinians) by definition (and history, and practice) are invaders.

Israel has always belonged to Israel. HIStory proves it.

The following week, (after the flood, after the ring of fire) we took a look at the tower of babel; man’s first stab at globalism.

We talked about how God looked at what they’d done, how they were of one heart and one tongue, and He said, “Now nothing they imagine to do will be impossible to them.”

So, He confused their language, and scattered them across the face of the earth.

We talked about the power of unity, for good, or evil.

We looked at Acts 2, where God reversed the curse of the tower of babel, and instead of confusing their tongues, He gave them one, to bring them together.

It was on the day of Pentecost, the day the Church was born, the day they were in one place, with one heart, in one accord, and the Holy Spirit, as tongues of fire, rested on, and then in, each of them, igniting a fire of boldness and clarity, to speak the glories of God to all the nations; and from that day to this the Fire still burns.

Following that, at long last, our Republican House of Representatives finally came together, in one place, with one heart, in one accord, and unanimously elected Mike Johnson as the Speaker of the House.

All 220 Republicans who cast ballots, voted for Louisiana Rep. Mike Johnson. All 209 Democrats present voted for their leader, Hakeem Jeffries of New York.

Florida Rep. Greg Steube, reports that Mike is more than a committed conservative; he’s a committed Christian, and not afraid to show it.

1. On Wednesday, before being elected speaker, he posted a photo of the engraving above the speaker's podium, which reads, "In God We Trust.”

2. After being elected candidate for Speaker, the congressman asked the Republican conference to bow their heads and join him in prayer.

3. After the mass shootings in Maine, he once again called for prayer.

4. Greg Stuebe tells of a time back in January, when Mike and other congressmen knelt for  prayer on the House floor, amid another deadlock over who the Speaker would be. They prayed for Divine guidance and immediately after the prayer, fourteen members changed their votes, which led to Speaker [Kevin] McCarthy securing the gavel by the end of the day.

5. In his first action as leader of the House of Representatives, Mike called up a resolution supporting Israel.

Since March, 2022, Mike and his wife Kelly have recorded a weekly podcast called “Truth be Told with Mike and Kelly Johnson.” (Kelly is a licensed Pastoral Counselor and educator)

In the first episode, they address: “Can America be Saved?”

Kelly opens by asking: “Why are we the freest, most powerful, most successful, most benevolent nation in the history of the world…”

Mike responds by explaining that America is the only country in the world founded upon a creed, or a “religious statement of faith…”

Their podcast reviews current events through the lens of eternal truth, and Mike says: “The word of God is, of course, the ultimate source of all truth.”

Mike Johnson is now second in line for the presidency.

Pray for Mike and family.

Oh, one more thing. I read that Mike said he'd be a good Speaker, by listening

What an amazing concept. Be a Good Speaker, by listening.

Speaking of listening, and in closing…

The farmer lost his watch, in the barn. It wasn’t just any old watch but one that’d been passed down from generation to generation. Great-grand-dad to grand-dad, to dad, to him. And now, somehow, he lost it.

He searched the barn high and low. He retraced every step from the hay loft to the stalls. The kids looked. The neighbors searched. It was nowhere to be found.

Finally as the sun was sinking low, they called it a day. But, as they all stood outside the barn, one little boy asked if he could give it one more try.

The farmer said it wouldn’t do any good, but go ahead.

It wasn’t long until the little boy came out of the barn shouting, “I found it! I found it!”

“How?” The smiling farmer asked.

“Well, I went right into the middle of the barn and sat down. I got real still and real quiet. I waited. Listened. And then… tic. tic. tic. I heard it. I followed the sound until I found it.

God’s got a plan.

He’s longing to share it with all who are listening.

To know the past or the future, look at God’s calendar; the Bible.

To know the time in which we live, look at God’s clock, Israel.

These days, God’s clock is more than just ticking…the alarm is ringing.

What’s all that got to do with our text, Genesis 11:10-12:3?

Everything.

Genesis is the Book of beginnings, and we just so happen to be at the seed of the state of Israel…and the family feud taking place over there.

You see, they all lay claim to one man introduced in our Scripture today… Abraham (Abram).

Abraham is at the foundation of Judaism, Islam, and Christianity.

In eleven chapters God covered the creation of the universe and about 2,000 years. Now, He slows down and for fourteen chapters focuses on this one man named Abraham.

Let’s pray.

Heavenly Father, there’s a lot going on. A lot of noise. But we simply want to hear from You. Please help us to get real still, and quiet, and wait, and listen… for You. And then, follow.

Thank You, Lord.

We love You, forever.

Amen.
