The volley of opinions about
President Trump continues to escalate; not only between right and left, democrats
and republicans, but most recently, between those who should be the epitome of
unity.
The departing editor of a
magazine called Christianity Today, launched a lone wolf parting shot against
President Trump. This appeared to be an opinion piece with no quotes or
collaboration from any Christian representatives. The only reference from another
source appeared to be talking points from the democrat’s articles of
impeachment.
The article made mention of the
founder of the magazine; the late, great, evangelist, Billy Graham.
Franklin Graham, Billy’s son, who
now heads the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, in place of his father, responded with a sound rebuke of the article. Franklin revealed that his
father knew President Trump, voted for him and believed he was the man God
had chosen for such a time as this.
Over
200 Christian leaders stepped forward to contest the claims of the lone wolf
article. They submitted written responses of their own, debunking the
anti-Trump piece and enumerating
the accomplishments of President Trump.
The facts reveal that prior to President
Trump’s election, the country looked something like this:
· Federally
funded abortion on demand raged like a machine gun out of control
· Socialism
was the administrations trajectory
· Economy
low
· Unemployment
high
· Christian
liberties threatened like never before in our nation
· Crosses
removed Qurans installed in Veteran’s Chapels
· Israel
avoided
· Iran
embraced
To miss the fact that this nation
was sliding toward an abyss between 2008 and 2016 would be nothing less than
turning a blind eye or political deafness.
Christians
prayed.
God
heard.
November
8, 2016, the largest voting voice in the nation was heard. They weren’t
looking for a polished, eloquent, political statesman—they were looking for a
fighter.
Against
all odds and unceasing adversity, the facts reveal, in just three short years, the country changed to look something like this:
·
Trajectory
changed
·
Economy
soared
·
Record
high stock market
·
Record
low unemployment
·
Anti-Terrorist—ISIS
defeated
·
Pro
Life—abortion defunded
·
Pro
Israel—U.S. Embassy moved to Jerusalem
·
Pro
America—Obama apology tour ended with Make America Great Again campaign
·
Pro
Constitution—over 200 conservative federal judges installed
·
Pro
Active—13 new federal court seats confirmed the same day democrats confirmed
impeachment
Promises
made.
Promises
kept
It
takes a special kind of moral fiber, courage and leadership to keep promises after
the election.
It
takes depth of character and dogged determination to continue to work (especially, for free, by donating salary to charity) amidst the onslaught of ridicule, law suits,
lies and slander from the very people and nation vowed to serve and protect.
These
actions of Donald J. Trump, testify more of the content of his character than
100 words or tweets spoken in haste…or a million headlines splashed with hate.

And I wholeheartedly stand with our president, too, Doug. Thanks for having the courage to share this, as many of us shy away when we should be fighting alongside him.
Merry Christmas!
