War With Fear

Dear friend, this is not a political article, it's way more important than that.
Yesterday I saw a post that read in big bold letters: “NO U.S.-IRAN WAR! Trump Must Be Removed From Office and We Must Create a Pathway to Peace.”
Another one declared that our allies are abandoning us over Trump's dangerous escalation with Iran.
Some celebrity I’d never heard of sent an apology to Iran and asked them not to kill us.
And then, there was the one that summed it all up with a picture of President Trump, dressed like a magician and the caption read:

“And for my next trick I’ll make dems defend terrorists”
One fears.
I whispered... “Perfect love casts out fear…” (1 John 4:18)
Another cheers.
I recall the scripture...“The righteous are bold as a lion.” (Proverbs 28:1)
The chasm deepens.
I hear Jesus words... “Whoever is not with me is against me…” (Matthew 12:30)
I see, undeniable proof of the force behind the divide.
Fear. False Evidence Appearing Real. Fake news.
Fear. Evil’s ultimate weapon to paralyze. Fear.
The wall will make the world think we’re not nice. Fear.
The climate is about to destroy us. Fear.
The Russians are colluding. Fear.
The President is a spy. Fear.
Appease the enemy. Fear.
Don’t offend. Fear.
Ban guns. Fear.
All created and fueled by FEAR.
Those that motivate and manipulate the masses, by fear, are themselves motivated by an even greater fear—the fear of being exposed.
The greatest threat to dark is light.
President Trump stomps around like a bull in a china shop—flipping on lights.
That has scared the embedded corrupt elite into such a frenzy that all they can do is shout, “Impeach”
I watch and ponder the phrase:
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing”
And these words echo:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
Dear friend, please don’t think this is a political article. It’s not meant to be. I love you too much to waste your time trying to sway a vote.
There’s much more at stake. Your soul.
Fear clouds the mind and senses. Fear deceives. The enemy of our soul, the devil, uses fear and deception.
“Take heed that no man deceive you” was the first thing Jesus said when asked about the end of days. (Matthew 24:4)
“God is not the author of confusion, but of peace” (1 Corinthians 14:33)
The anxiety and fear and anger that rises when watching the news is evidence of evil’s presence.
It's dangerous that many folks say they're Christian, but can’t discern between God and evil.
Perhaps the most doubted verse in the Bible is:
"...narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."  Emphasis mine. (Matthew 7:14).
Those words are followed by:
"I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity"
They may be the scariest words for us…the saddest, for God. (Matthew 7:23)
The time we spend on earth, compared to our eternal destination, is like one salty tear in all of the oceans.
In the end we will hear:
Well done My good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the LORD (Matthew 25:23)
Or…
Depart from Me, I never knew you.
The choice must be made, today, every day. A Christian must die daily, be servant of all, willing to wash feet and turn the other cheek; forgive seventy times seven; carry the cross; bear another’s burden and be crucified with Christ.
Christianity is not for wimps. Not for the fearful.
But definitely for winners.
Let's pray.
Lord, help us to see You and follow. To hear You, not fear. In faith and love, unite us.
Come quickly Lord Jesus.
Thy will be done.

God's perfect love will cast out fear when we trust and obey Him. Those enveloped by fear, and lash out senselessly, I believe have no knowledge of God, though many will pay Him lip service just to "look good" before man. That has never and will never work.
Blessings, Doug!
