After the whirlwind
The calls and cards and casseroles stop
But wave after wave of sorrow rolls
At that tearful moment, know…
You’re not, forgotten
The world starts spinning, like nothing ever happened
You can barely breath, let alone start living
There, in that lonely place, know…
You’re not, alone
The clock keeps ticking, deadlines and due dates, birthdays
and holidays
It really hits home—they’re not here, and never coming back
Here, you still feel the pain, taste the sorrow, yet, by
God, please know…
You’re not unnoticed
You’re not abandoned
You’re not worthless
You’re not useless
You’re not washed up
You’re not done
Who you were, what you went through, is only part of your
story.
You’re not unloved.
The proof of God’s love, isn’t that He prevents all bad things
from happening, but that He’s right there with us, to help us, when they do.
You’re not through.
The hard parts, the struggles, the disappointments haven’t destroyed
you, they’ve strengthened you.
Life isn’t full, in spite of disappointments, it’s
full because of them.
You’re not, at the end; a new chapter filled with joy, love and laughter awaits.
You are immensely valued and extravagantly loved, forever.
