What have we become?

We look the other way while New York Governor Andrew Cuomo brags about God not doing anything to help and then Cuomo demands COVID-19 patients be sent to nursing homes...even after the nursing home administration begged him not to do it.
His criminal negligence resulted in multiplied thousands of deaths to our elderly.
We sat by and watched them die. We said nothing. We were too busy screaming about things like ventilators and tests and timelines.
The elderly killing tactics weren't enough for Governor Newsom, his plans include shuttering churches and 200 nursing homes for veterans; while giving $75 million to illegal aliens.
While an elderly Michigan man is beaten and bleeding with blood running down his face; Governor Whitmer ignores the cries because President Trump exposed the vile crime. Instead she screams on talk shows and blares on social media (without a mask) the crime of the president not wearing a mask. Her hands are covered in this man's blood.
Not only hers.
But ours.
We've allowed her and others like her to fill positions of power.
Our apathy has caused atrophy. We have no strength, no voice, no power.

Instead of our prayers ascending to heaven, smoke lifts from the smoldering ashes of The First Pentecostal Church in Holly Springs Mississippi burned to the ground. The arsonist's graffiti written all around "Bet you stay home now you hypokrits."
All because they went to church.
Were's the remorse? The Godly fear?
We just yawn and barely lift an eyebrow. We're too busy complaining about needing another payment for sitting home, watching Netflix and doing nothing.

Father we should be ashamed, but we're not.
We've become such selfish, spoiled brats that even if we go to work or school, if we catch a cold or flu or so much as stub our toe, we sue.
We are filthy. We've become foolish, stupid, stupid, fools.
Lord God Almighty, open our eyes to our ugliness, cause us to revile the vile we have become.
Expose our wicked, deceitful hearts...
and have mercy.
We pray, Oh Father, let mercy triumph over judgement by creating in us a thirst for righteousness; a desire to be clean; a hunger for Your Goodness.
We are lost. Beyond hope. We cannot dig ourselves out of this grave we've dug.
We need You.
Help us to see You and follow; to hear You and obey.
"Wash your hands" echoes throughout the land.
Help us obey.
Repent.
