Game Day

Game Day
Super Bowl Sunday
San Francisco 49ers vs Kansas City Chiefs
Don’t consider the ridiculous amounts of money they’ll make.
Do consider that each team will square off against the biggest and best.
Each player will be called upon to give 150%. To leave it all on the field.
None of them woke this morning saying, “What have we done? Why’d we win so many games? Oh, no! Now we have to face these…giants. They’re big, they’re strong, they’re fast, they’re lean, they’re mean…oh how I wish we could just stay home and eat popcorn.”
No—they’re excited and honored to be counted worthy for this challenge.
They don’t look at this confrontation as a problem to run from but a challenge to overcome. To face head on and win.
And so too are we.
As we position ourselves at the prayer-line of scrimmage, we look not at the giants before us, but toward the goal, the prize of the high calling…unto Jesus.
Knowing, the enemy we face isn’t 250 pounds of lean muscle, sweat and blood; but principalities, powers, rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness.
We pray without ceasing as we battle our own super bowl.
The growing old bowl; the cancer bowl, the heart attack bowl, sickness & disease bowl, chronic pain bowl, family troubles bowl, unsaved loved ones bowl, fear bowl, divorce bowl, doubt bowl, debt bowl…in all these, we hold fast the confession of our faith, because we know…
Our Redeemer lives.
Our God never leaves or forsakes us. He is with us, even in the midst of the fire. He always causes us to triumph in Christ. No matter how big the giant, how hot the fire or deep the water…in Him we are more than conquerors!
The Goliath before you, means there’s a David in you; so, expect the giant to fall. For Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
The joy in hearing the words of Jesus ring in your ears, “Well Done” is better by far than wearing any Super Bowl ring the world has to offer.
Go team win!
 If you don't quit...you win. (Galatians 6:9)

Thanks for this encouraging post. Just today I'm finding that when I cry out "Why God? Why?" He stills is here to pour out His comfort and love. Still. I am calmed.
