Trump of God

With every sunrise and sunset, every rainbow after a storm,
God paints a picture, tells a story.
God is a story teller.  True stories.
He is eternal. He lives outside time. He knows the end from the beginning.
When He tells a story, pay attention, it’s His-tory…in advance.
His Book is the greatest story ever told. Story after story; all tell One story. The story of Jesus. The amazing story of God’s great, great, great love.

THE TRUMP OF GOD
The trump of God, is only one phrase, mentioned one time, in the Bible, God’s Story…yet, it’s a story in and of itself.
Today, like it or not, love it or hate it, that phrase, that story, is being lived out in flesh and blood, living color, right before our very eyes.
Way back when God inspired the writer to use the phrase, “trump of God,” He knew a man named Trump would be President of the United States at such a time as this.
Make no mistake, the phrase, “trump of God” was no coincidence. It was placed in scripture in such a place by Providence, for such a time as this.
It's all coming to pass just as He said. Not necessarily as He wills, but exactly as He said.

SEVEN TRUMPETS
I find it interesting that, chronologically, "the trump of God" kicks off seven years of tribulation and seven trumpets.
MyOlive Tree, wrote of President Trump:
The number seventy (70) is made up of two numbers—and in the Bible, it represents perfection in the number 7, and completeness in the number 10. The history of the Jewish people is in some way tied to the number “seventy” more than 50 times throughout the scriptures.
In Israel’s 70th year of independence (Hebrew year 5778), the United States embassy was moved by President Trump to Jerusalem.
President Trump was 70 years, 7 months, and 7 days old when he took office in 2017.
President Trump was born 700 days before Israel’s statehood on May 14, 1948.
President Trump was elected on Benjamin Netanyahu’s 7th year, 7th month, and 7th full day in office.
A total solar eclipse occurred 7 months after President Trump’s first day in office.
“But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.”—1 Corinthians 1:27-29

TRUMP & KING CYRUS
Many have compared Trump to King Cyrus in the Bible. Cyrus decreed that the temple should be rebuilt in Jerusalem. President Trump acknowledged Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and decreed that the US embassy be moved to Jerusalem.

TRUMP & JESUS
Comparing Trump to a Persian King is one thing…but, to Jesus? Some might say comparing brash Trump to meek and mild Jesus is sacrilege. But, like always, God has a story to tell. He’s using Trump to do it.
First let’s get the story straight. Jesus was no meek and mild pushover. Neither were the folks He’s chosen to use throughout history. Abraham slaughtered four kings and crew that had taken his nephew captive. Moses saw two men fighting and stepped in and killed one. The army fled, but David said, I’ll take off the giant’s head. John the Baptist lost his head for exposing Herod’s sin. Paul was a saint murdering zealot.
God is not fearful, bashful or timid. He’s as bold as a lion and chooses those who get things done. President Trump is one of them.
Jesus faced constant attacks from scribes and pharisees. He wasn’t afraid to call them out. Or, call them names like; hypocrites, liars, blind guides, white washed sepulchers, snakes, brood of vipers, children of the devil.
We still have scribes and pharisees today, only the names have changed to media and politicians. Like Jesus, Trump isn’t afraid to call them out. Or, call them names like; hypocrites, liars, leakers, crooked, corrupt, fake news, enemy of the people, lame stream media.
Jesus tells the Truth, even if it hurts, even if unpopular. He’s hated for it.  Trump does the same and is hated for it too.
Jesus left His Heaven, took off His royal robe of splendor and glory to walk dusty streets, be ridiculed and beat by those He came to save.  Trump left his ivory tower to walk the streets, be mocked, ridiculed and slandered by the very nation he’s trying to save.

JUST SOMETHING ABOUT TRUMP
It’s been told that when Ronal Reagan was President, he met Donald Trump and said, “For the life of me, and I’ll never know how to explain it, when I met that young man, I felt like I was the one shaking hands with a president.” Like every positive statement about President Trump, some claim this is not true. Which interestingly, is exactly what they did to Jesus.
Remember, it’s not about the goodness of Trump, it’s about the love of God, using a vessel to tell His-tory.
Jesus didn’t fit into the “leader” role as He went about His Father’s business, doing good.
The scribes and pharisees (media and politicians) refused to acknowledge the good He did and accused Him of breaking the law at every turn.
He healed someone on the Sabbath. The accusation was absurd, of course, everyone knew that healing someone was a good thing and would never be condemned—no matter what day it was. But there was something about Jesus that threatened the establishment and therefore, no matter what Jesus did, they found a way to twist and spin the narrative to accuse Him of wrong doing.
Sound familiar?
There is a hatred so deep, so vile, so dark that those who have it cannot see any good in President Trump no matter what. Period.
A friend of the people.
Jesus, wasn’t like other “leaders.” He walked and talked among the people—regular, common folk. He didn’t leak eloquent words. He spoke plain, simple words, of by and for, the people. He got dusty, hot, thirsty, tired, as he walked with them and talked with them. He loved the people and they loved Him.
This drove the elite mad.
Trump is no politician. His words are anything but eloquent. He doesn’t “leak” anything. If he has something to say, he says it. Bold. Loud. Strong. No sugar-coating. He loves to mingle with the people. He spends more time wrestling with the “scribes and pharisees” than any president, any politician, any leader, any person…since Jesus.
This drives the elite mad.
Guilt by association
The attacks against Jesus spread to anyone associated with Him. The accusations were foolish and unfounded, but they were desperate and scared and couldn’t afford to give Jesus, even the smallest, win. They threw everything they could at Jesus and His friends. It didn’t matter if it made sense or if it was true or fake news.
His disciples were accused of breaking the law, because, believe it or not…they didn’t wash their hands.  A man born blind was healed. The elite denied the Truth and slandered the man; called him a liar and a fake.
The times and names have changed but the battle remains the same. Flynn, Stone and the Russian hoax.
Jesus fed multitudes and gave fishermen the catch of their lives. Trump’s policy fed multitudes by creating the best job opportunities of their lives.
Lazarus, was raised from the dead. It couldn’t be denied. They tried to find a way to make him dead again. Trump raised America’s economy from the dead, it couldn’t be denied. They’ve used everything from virus to riots to make it dead again.
They said Jesus works were of the devil. He responded by saying a house divided cannot stand.  Today they say the works of Trump are evil and the speaker of the house divided the State of the Union asunder.

Jesus ministry lasted three years, and then the King of kings was given a new crown, not made of gold, but a crown of thorns. It was three years, to the day, from inauguration to the first confirmation of novel corona (meaning new crown) virus in the United States.

God has painted a picture.
He has written His-tory…on our hearts. We all from the least to the greatest, even the demons, know Him. Thus, we all are without excuse.
Throughout His-tory God has chosen to use the unlikely. The foolish things to confound “the wise.” In every case, those God chose, are those the world rejected. Even, His very best, His only begotten Son. They chose darkness over Light and crucified the Lord of glory.
I’ve had this foreboding thought that the parallels of Trump and Jesus, will continue…to death.
The vile hatred against Trump is of the same spirit that manipulated the masses to cry “Crucify Him! Crucify Him!” I’m no prophet. I haven’t had a dream or a vision from God showing the future. But, it saddens me to admit, if President Trump and even his family were killed, I wouldn’t be surprised.

What’s next?
The Bible uses the words: “trump of God” and “the last trump” as follows:
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”  (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (1 Corinthians 15:52)

Make no mistake, God knew Trump would be President when He inspired those words to be chosen in this text of scripture. His-tory will be fulfilled to the letter, every jot, every tittle.

Doug, this post has given me some new ways to think about things. Thank you. I really like the His-tory word. It is true that we do not completely understand God's ways, but we can be certain He is ultimately in control of our world.

Very interesting, I believe (according to Daniel 2:21 NKJV) that God allows people to come into power and he takes power away from people. I pray for 4 more years of Trump! I also pray for the safety of him and his family! "Good read!"
